1970s Nanna Ditzel for Georg Jensen "Points" Bracelet - Sold

A superb bracelet designed by Nanna Ditzel and produced by Danish design firm Georg Jensen. The bracelet is a fantastic example of jewellery of the time. It has a distinctly modern feel with its clean lines while harkening back to primitive jewellery designs. The elegant, minimalist style that Ditzel was known for shines in this beautiful piece.

Nanna Ditzel was born in Copenhagen in 1923. She began training as a cabinetmaker and then went on to study at the School of Arts and Crafts and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. She trained in furniture design, completing her studies in 1946. She is considered one of the 20th century’s leading furniture and jewellery designers. Most prolific during the post-World War II time period known as the golden age of Danish design, she worked alongside some of the greatest names in Scandinavian design.
