Anton Michelsen Royal Bini Gold + Porcelain Bracelet
In the 1960s, Denmark had its hand on the pulse of design. The Royal Bini series which was produced by Danish firm Anton Michelsen for ceramic giant Royal Copenhagen, explores the use of porcelain in modern jewelry design. The results are clean and sleek pieces which merge two distinct realms of design; symbolic of the merger of the two firms in 1968.
This striking bracelet is part of this original collection. Designed with remarkable consideration, the porcelain disc separates from the silver component giving the piece a modular feel. It was originally sold exclusively at Georg Jensen, Copenhagen in the 1960s.
A little history from the catalog: “In Royal Bini a new jewellery idea as been created by The Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Manufactory’s ceramists Doreen Middelboe, Bodil Buch, Nils Thorsson and goldsmith Jen Windfeld-Hansen in cooperation with A. MIchelsen’s workshops."
