1970s Liisa Vitali 14k Gold "Lumikukka" Ring - Sold
A stunning ring by Finnish designer Liisa Vitali. Originally titled "Lumikukka" or "Snow flower," the design is luminous and expressive yet refined. Vitali was constantly inspired by the natural forms she found in the countryside of her native Finland.
Liisa Vitali was part of an avant garde group of jewellers who pushed Finland onto the international stage of design in the 1960s. Beginning her career at a young age, she developed her skills working alongside designer Tapio Wirkkala at the firm of Westerback Oy. Vitali's designs have become quintessentially Finnish - her original creations are still reproduced today.
