1970s Gold Liisa Vitali "Ladybird" Ring - Sold

A sweet 14k gold ring by one of Finland's most celebrated jewelry designers, Liisa Vitali. Part of her iconic "Leppäkertu" series from 1966, this design was known as "ladybird". Inspired by nature, Vitali's designs are lively interpretations of her surroundings in rural Finland.

Liisa Vitali was part of an avant garde group of jewellers who in the 1960s pushed Finland onto the international stage of design. Beginning her career at a young age, she developed her skills working alongside designer Tapio Wirkkala at the firm of Westerback Oy. Vitali's designs are quintessentially Finnish - her original designs are still being reproduced today.
