Est. c. 1899.
Established in 1899, Kultateollisuus Ky is one of the oldest silver makers in Finland. The large firm produces many different silver products, but their contribution to jewelry design during the 1960s and 70s is truly remarkable.
The manufacturer has undergone many name changes since its creation but during 1954-1977 it was known as Kultateollisuus Viljanen ja Kumpp Ky. During these innovative years, Kultateollisuus Ky employed some of the best contemporary designers, including Jorma Laine. Modernist pieces stamped with their symbol of the flying hammer remain strikingly relevant today.
