A sculptural ring from Jorma Laine’s “hammer” series. The abstract design sits atop the hand in a very striking manner. It has been coated in 18K gold; an unusual treatment for bronze at the time. The technique is rarely seen in Scandinavian jewelry, but is much more common in Asian jewelry, which speaks to Laine’s multi-varied influences.
